After a three month pause (due to baby fox season) AERO’s Mange Fox program, was up and running as of May 1st. Within the first two weeks we deployed over 10 traps and continue to receive many calls and emails concerning Mange. We are happy to report that after two weeks of working with AERO, one of our homeowners who requested a trap was successful in capturing her mange fox. 

This was AERO’s fist mange fox for this season. She was brought into rehab by one of AERO’s volunteers and was found to be in good shape considering her mange. Treatment was provided and she was released back on the homeowner’s property later that evening. She is expected to make a full recovery. This precious fox and the foxes throughout NOVA are the reasons we continue to make the Mange Fox program one of AERO’s critical programs. We couldn’t do it without our transporters, rehabbers and most importantly the homeowners who play a huge role in helping us treat this horrific condition called Mange.
